2007 Pie Bake and Piesta
The pie bake and piesta celebration was held at the Farmers' Market. I saw the pie contest there. I tried to imagine how the contestants cooked them because I watched a recent movie Waitress and learned that pies were often reflected on personal emotions and circumstances of life. This year the first winner made a pie called "Eve's Apple Pie". Two different kinds of apples were filled in.

Theater
There are a few theaters along Wilshire Blvd in the city. They seem to provide independent films from the world. I watched What the Snow Brings and Memories of Tomorrow recently. They were made in Japanese and subtitled with English. I felt emotional with the scenes of the films.

HEALTH, FITNESS and BEAUTY EXPO
The EXPO was held at the Farmers' Market. It was a good chance to get information from specialists in a variety of fields. I got free massages, facial skin damage check and a discount coupon for Botox.
