Cycling

The first Gran Fondo Colnago Los Angeles 2011 came off this past weekend.  I watched the early morning start on Rodeo Drive.  It was a great summer day.  The sky was pale blue, and the light was coming from the sun.  The road was packed with hundreds of cyclists according to a media report.  They were heading to the Pacific Ocean/Santa Monica Mountains and then returning to the city.

Congratulations on graduation!

June is graduation time in the US.  Graduation ceremonies have been held in the town this month.

I saw a graduation message at the storefront of Teuscher chocolates.  Most of the character crafts on display looked schoolmates.

Chocolates could bring back bitter and sweet memories of school days.

Father's day decorations

I saw displays for father's day at many stores in the town.  The media also reported about a variety of gift ideas to make dad smile.

A collection of dad's hobbies was on display at the storefront of Madame Chocolat.  They seemed to be hand-made, and some of them could be in practical use.
