LET IT SPARKLE

Holiday lights have been popular fixtures on the news recently.  This holiday season the Swarovski crystals were installed along Rodeo Drive and the city sparkle lighting event was held. 

According to the Swarovski site holiday text greetings appear in the illuminating chrome DNA helix-like sculpture by using the Twitter hashtag#letitsparkle.  In the US the text messaging to 877877 is also available with the word "Sparkle" followed by a holiday greeting. 

I am impressed at the idea and I look forward to seeing your massages on the display.

PIERRE ETAIX

I went to an event “PIERRE ÉTAIX: THE LAUGHTER RETURNS” provided as part of the lecture series of the Jack Oakie Celebration of Comedy in films at the Academy.  The event featured a special appearance by Pierre Étaix, French comedian and filmmaker, and a screening of his films in 1960s.  It was hosted by Leonard Maltin and Geneviève Bujold.  I was surprised to know that his films have been unseen for more than 20 years.  Now I am a fan of his film and looking forward to the DVD release.

Thanksgiving Day

The holiday season has started.  The TV news reported about thanksgiving recipes, Black Friday shopping and holiday travel.  I am thinking about things I am thankful for.  I looked around about Thanksgiving decorations pleasing to the eye.  Mr. & Mrs. Pilgrims, turkeys and other crafted ornaments were displayed at the Teuscher store.  Many more ornaments were seen than last year.
