City Hall

It’s almost June.  The temperature has gone up.  This past weekend I heard a phrase that the summer officially was here via the local media.

While watching the art show I noticed that the gardens around the city hall were newly remodeled.  Several kinds of flowers and trees were planted in the gardens.  So I suppose that they show different views from season to season.

Art show

The spring 2012 art show was held at the park.  I saw old familiar faces and many new faces. Interestingly, a solar eclipse occurred on the same day.  I observed it by sharing eclipse glasses with visitors and artists.  Also, I looked around at plants and art objects to find some effects by the solar eclipse.

Astronomical events

The full moon on May 5, 2012 was called “Supermoon.”  Most reports said the moon appeared 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than other full moons of 2012.  There were no clouds in the sky at night so I had a clear view of the moon.

Also, a partial solar eclipse will be visible in the evening in Los Angeles on May 20, 2012.  I am thinking about where I should watch the spectacular astronomical event.
