Happy New Year from BUCDAA!
Yes, another year has passed into the history books and we here at BUCDAA are very excited to be entering 2009 with all in order, including our limbs, our internists, our faculties and our sanity. 2008 was a challenge as BUCDAA was finally able to establish the website thanks to our wonderful resident genius, Sono……and establish a recurring live show called Movement which will continue along with BUCDAA into 2009. The year was a success in that a couple of our artists were able to visit Japan….Tara Tinsley and Roly Skender in the summer and we look forward to hosting Kokjin Tensai for our 2009 Live Kickoff show……along with that we were able to create a few music videos for Tara, Roly as well as OD. Not to mention the many live show videos which are regularly posted. We look forward to continuing that tradition with OD playing at Zepp Sendai next week and the Tensai coming the following week….keep it tuned to BUCDAA.com for those videos. My radio show continued without a hitch here in Sendai, on Sundays, every week, featuring our musicians exclusively. We will continue to push forward with bringing the best indie music and artists from Japan and the world to you here at BUCDAA! Also, I wanted to just let everyone know back in the states, that while I did not get to partake in a traditional Christmas dinner in Japan…..I did enjoy a feast of epic proportions for New Years……including crab, abalone, shrimp, sashimi, fried fish, baked fish, octopuss, veggies, salads, pork ribs….it was just crazy food! All of it delicious and very Japanese! Check the picture of the spread…..it was a table full of goodness! Anyways……Happy New Year to all and we here at BUCDAA wish everyone a Happy 2009……here’s hoping the world economy can regain it’s footing……there is less killing in the world and move love being shown to all……to those who I haven’t seen in ages since I came to Japan, I miss you all and apologize at my inability to keep up with communication as this Japanese Adventure keeps me not only out of trouble but at times busier than a one legged man in an ass-kicking contest.
